Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills or stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation technology are superb as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only drawback is that the robot tends to hit walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you exactly what the robot completed, where it's traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs need to be done like emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the tank by itself, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time as well, with the mop being capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. Unlike last year's model this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its path automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it only has three physical buttons which include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and that can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these smart features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with exceptional suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry messes. It comes with a mop that is excellent quality that can clean hard floors without the need for pads. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

Another notable feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush, which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to prevent damage to floors from repeated back-and-forth movements.
Unlike other robots, which are restricted to a single task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. best robot hoover can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features, making it a perfect option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and alert you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This feature is great as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a useful method of keeping your home clean for longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer which include the ability to schedule cleaning times and alter a variety of preferences. These can be set via the app, or via buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't available on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping system is well designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
